Our project is gaining momentum. We learn how to search, select and gather information so that a not to break copyright laws and rules of netiquette. In the course of discussions with students and teachers from the project we have developed CODE 2.0. Is to help us better and more safely navigate online resources.
SCHOOL DEBATE ON BOOKS AND INTERNET
With SpicyNodes, information can be more interesting, visually engaging, and interactive. SpicyNodes grew from IDEA’s quest to display online knowledge in a way that mimics how people interact with information in the real world. Launched on the Web in 2006, SpicyNodes’ tree structure represents information using interconnected "nodes" in a virtual space. This enables visitors to quickly glance at large volumes of information and see how each piece relates to others around it, and then quickly drill down for more detail. This approach is particularly appealing to nonlinear and visual learners. SpicyNodes can be used for a variety of purposes, including site maps, content portals, mind maps, and data visualization. ZooBurst is a digital storytelling tool that lets anyone easily create his or her own 3D pop-up books. Using ZooBurst, storytellers of any age can create their own rich worlds in which their stories can come to life. ZooBurst books “live” online and can be experienced on your desktop or laptop computer, or on your iPad via the free ZooBurst mobile app. Authors can arrange characters and props within a 3D world that can be customized using uploaded artwork or items found in a built-in database of over 10,000 free images and materials. ZooBurst authors can share books with readers using a simple hyperlink, and books can easily be embedded in any website or blog, allowing authors to provide their own contextual framework to their stories. Authors can also maintain a moderated discussion forum for each book, providing a virtual space in which readers can interact with one another
