THE NIGHT OF THE CROATIAN BOOK

April 23rd, 2013 was really special in every way: we held the evening of the Croatian book in our school.

Organizators of this event was our librarian Mirjana Čubaković, but many teachers and pupils of 5th, 6th and 7th grade were there.

During two hours some parents were reading the best books of their childhood, pupils were presenting their favorite books and school team informed parents and students about our great eTwinning project Life@BOOK@Art.

Teachers of our school team organized short workshops which were related to books and reading.

Obrotowa książka - Yusuke Oono

Taką książkę 360 stopni zaprojektował i wykonał artysta japoński Yusuke Oono. Pochodzący z Niemiec japoński architekt zaprojektował niezwykłą zimową opowieść. Jego celem było zaprojektowanie książki, która byłaby tak naprawdę jedną sceną ukazaną w trójwymiarowy sposób poprzez użycie wszystkich stron księgi. Bez wątpienia mu się to udało. Oono stworzył książkę, która otwiera się do 360 stopni i, stykając się okładkami, tworzy okrągłą, trójwymiarową historię świąteczną. Korzystając z laserowej wycinarki stworzył z papieru małe dzieło sztuki. Chociaż wyraźnie wzorowane na klasycznej disneyowskiej animacji. Ukazane w niej zostały typowe dla Świąt postaci: Święty Mikołaj, renifery, bałwanek, padające płatki śniegu i choinka, która stanowi centralny punkt całej książki – jej trzon, dookoła którego wszystko się kręci. Jest to zarazem najbardziej trójwymiarowa część zimowej opowieści. Reszta wyciętych przez laser postaci jest płaska.

Collage (From the French: coller, to glue)is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
A collage may sometimes include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty.
The term collage derives from the French "coller" meaning "glue". This term was coined by both Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a distinctive part of modern art.
